**Key Purpose of the role**:
The Regional Trainee SHE Advisor will undertake inspection of all construction sites new & existing, sales & customer care and report all findings to the Group SHE Manager.

The Regional SHE Advisor will, when identified, remove and stop operations where risk to life and serious injury is apparent and must not place themselves or other in any danger through their advice, acts or omissions during the execution of their duties whilst appointed to this role.

**Key Duties / Responsibilities**
- To conduct site inspections that are an accurate account of observations and findings.
- To provide suitable photographic and written evidence, and witness information in the event of a cessation of work being undertaken. Any cessation of work must be reported to the Group SHE Manager for review immediately.
- To deliver the appropriate levels of Safety, Health & Environment information, instruction and training where required.
- Conduct 1 scored monthly and 1 advisory visit, the Contracts Manager may be present, to support the Site Managers with Safety, Health & Environment issues.
- Investigate & report to the Group SHE Manager all potential RIDDORS, Accidents, Minor Injuries, Non-Conformances and Near Misses.
- Investigate & report all Enforcing Authority visits to the Group SHE Manager.
- Follow the Safety, Health & Environment KPI site inspection system, to assist in identifying areas of improvement.
- Assist in formulating and collating data for Safety, Health & Environment reviews and meetings, and attend meetings when required. Attend pre-start meetings when requested.
- Complete and update accordingly the Safety, Health & Environment action matrix.
- Attend a weekly update meeting with the Group SHE Manager as requested.
- Produce monthly KPI summary reports.
- Deliver on site Toolbox talks & Training where required.
- Assist in the development of site and business action plans.

**Experience**

Construction experience.

Cross sector experience (desirable).

**Key knowledge and skills**

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent Knowledge of current Safety, Health & Environment Legislation.

Report writing skills.

Literacy and numerical skills.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Able to demonstrate a high level of research knowledge.

Ability to collate descriptive data.

Able to demonstrate an understanding of the risk assessment process.
