The post will support the general workload in the department and will include plain film reporting, cross sectional imaging, and ultrasound. It is essential that the post holder must have general and cross-sectional imaging skills. Sub-specialty interests will be accommodated as appropriate to the needs of the department. The weekly timetable is variable, and the content of the clinical session may change dependent upon service need following workload planning meetings

The department currently provide in excess of 230,000 exams per year to include plain film, CT, MRI, General and Obstetric Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Interventional Radiology and Catheter Laboratory activity across four hospital sites Warwick, Stratford, Leamington and Shipston on Stour. The team provide weekly MDT tumour site support for Lung, Breast, Gynae, Haem, Urology, UPGI and LOGI. We have also recently opened a new MRI unit in Stratford and have a second CT scanner being installed in Warwick in September 2018.

The Radiology Department is a forward thinking innovative service with approximately 13 Consultant Radiologists, and 50 Radiographers, of various bands, and are in the process of appointing into our Radiology CESR Programme (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) and Consultant Radiographer posts.
