Systematix is currently looking for an_IT Support Analyst_tohelp with IT Operations and local site server systems for one of the world’s leaders in Life Sciences technologies.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is one of the world’s leading Life Sciences companies, with offices around the globe. Working as IT Support Analyst for the Client technologies division, you will be responsible for providing support for IT Operations including service desk, systemadministration, development, security and support of all relevant IT infrastructure.

Your responsibilities in the role will be:

- Providing user and administrative support for PC’s and peripherals including user account management.
- Providing technical guidance to users and management for PC related issues and queries.
- Participating in projects or teams and directed by the Manager/Supervisor.
- Performing maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware and software.
- Configuration, installation & deployment of all PC’s and PC related peripherals.
- Supporting local manufacturing systems.
- Ensuring appropriate PC related procedures are enforced.
- Keeping abreast of technical aspects of PC-LAN computing environment.
- Identifying opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Logging into and using telephone and computer based Service Desk system to record all support activities.
- Contributing to meeting the departmental key performance indicators.

ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
- Up-to-date professional IT certification
- 2+ year experience of providing end user desktop support
- Good knowledge of IT hardware and associated peripherals
- Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve hardware and software problems
- Ability to perform risk assessments.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good judgment and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 6-month contract role in the South West England area.
