Trading Underwriter

**Trading Underwriter - Salary up to £32,000.**

**A bit about the job**:
Aviva are looking for a commercial property and casualty underwriter to be aligned to a panel of brokers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business.

The successful applicant will be accountable for day to day underwriting activities on new and existing business, embracing SME strategy, managing internal and external relationships, and using data insight to ensure we are providing service and solutions as desired.

This role could be ideal for you if you're early into your career in insurance and looking to take the next steps in expanding your skill sets within underwriting. The role is
**homebased** however you may have to meet brokers around the Eastern/Southern England area on the rare occasion.

**Skills and experience we're looking for**:

- Good underwriting knowledge in property and casualty. Other lines of business such as real estate, speciality lines and motor are desirable but not essential.
- Experience with managing your own underwriting caseload within a regulatory environment.
- Excellent business development and customer engagement/relationship building skills.
- Have a Diploma in CII or a willingness to study for and obtain the CII qualifications.
