We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis to cover our evening shift, working from 3.30pm - 11.30pm Mon-Fri.

The position will supervise and conduct logistic warehouse activities and staff in the Central Distribution Centre (CDC). The role is responsible for Inbound, Outbound, Stock Control and Resilience functions whilst on shift. All stock transactions will be conducted on SAP with the physical movement completed with Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE).

Optional overtime will be available and there is Emergency Resilience call out on a rotation system 1 week every 9 weeks.

What will you be doing?

Supervise a small logistic team (3-6 people) operating in either an early or late daily work pattern, ensuring safe working practices and risk assessment mitigations are followed.

Direct and participate in warehouse processes (ensuring physical movement is matched virtually in SAP), including: Inbounding of supplier deliveries and Goods Receipt. Outbound pick / pack / transport loading. Use of RF scanners for pick / stow tasks. Inventory stock takes as directed by the Plans team

Conduct general warehouse activities & tasks as required (i.e. 5S, Water Quality hygiene, Product Cataloguing)

Operate and/or supervise use of Electronic Pump Trucks, Forklifts and Reach Trucks.

During working hours, coordinate provision of emergency material to urgent jobs within Anglian Water

Take on periods of 24hr standby callout for emergency support incidents

Encourage warehouse operatives to learn new skills / processes and support them in achieving their personal objectives

Recommend process improvements (supporting safety, wellbeing, efficiency, quality & sustainability) to CDC managers
