We are delighted to be recruiting an Estimator to work for a manufacturing company based in Dudley. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing high quality quotations on a daily basis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare high quality quotations by evaluating enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documents
Understand technical capabilities and product suitability with regards to environment and specification
Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documents
Deal with inbound telephone & counter sales enquiries as required
Review and where necessary, liaise with relevant business delivery departments (CAD, Contracts and Production) ensuring proposed contracts can be fulfilled technically, operationally, and commercial
Ensure all tenders have full and complete electronic files
Ensure tender requirements / submission dates are met
Have awareness of competitor movements in terms of pricing or ranges promoted
Effective follow up of tenders / quotations of interest e.g., live contracts and / or jobs of significant value or opportunity
Maintain and expand technical knowledge by attending any company provided training as required
Previous experience within an estimating role is essential
Ability to multitask and prioritise
Happy to work in a fast-paced environment
Be technically minded
Excellent PC skills
