Virgate provides a Finance Team service to multiple businesses in the retail & hospitality sector and are currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Payroll Administrator to become part of their fast-growing team.
**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Processing payroll from client information/client data systems for a variety of pay frequencies.
- Building and maintaining good relationships with clients, liaising on payroll and any other related queries.
- Providing support to other departments within the company on client payroll and PAYE matters.
- Data handling for clients and preparing reports and documentation.
- Submitting routine reports to clients’ pension providers.
- Maintaining accurate and concise records.
- Dealing with ad-hoc queries, internally and externally (HMRC etc.).
- You will report to the Payroll Manager
- Working within a team to cover payroll colleagues in line with business requirements
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- Knowledge of Brightpay/Xero Desirable
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Preferred Skills
- At least 2 years experience in PAYE and other payroll processes including RTI and Auto-Enrolment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to effectively prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
- Organised and methodical.
**Location**: Quedgeley, Gloucester
**Contract Type: P**ermanent
**Hours**: Part Time (21-35 hours per week, PT or FT available)
**Salary**: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum FTE, DOE
