**Job Summary**
- This role is focused on producing and managing the Master Production Schedule as well as providing significant input into the development and maintenance of the corporate SIOP forecasting model.
- The position involves developing and implementing a robust MPS process in planning function with the potential to make a significant improvement to the business.
- Produce and manage the master production schedule, balancing existing and future customer requirements with plant capacity (ensuring a level loaded plant).
- Produce mid to long term capacity plans for production departments and the supporting functions i.e. Warehouse, Quality etc.
- Identify existing and future bottleneck resources and work closely with different departments to resolve constraints.
- Lead capacity review meetings and present recommendations to the management team.
- Develop and maintain individual rough cut capacity plans for multiple products lines which vary in lead time, complexity and volume.
- Review and schedule new projects / sales demand with practical lead times and in line with expected available capacity.
- Provide up to date general lead time guidance to Customer Services and Sales to support quote tendering.
- Work closely with Supply Chain colleagues to understand vendor capacity.
- Monitor overall material supply required to support the MPS and work with Supply Chain colleagues to resolve shortages.
- Contribute to the maintenance of planning MRP data including order policies, lot sizes and safety stock / time.
- Support the SIOP process by reviewing forecasts, quantifying demand and assessing impact on the business. Expected to provide significant input into the development and maintenance of the corporate SIOP forecasting model.
- Communicate with project and planning colleagues within the wider OSS organization to ensure we are aligned with their priorities and production schedules.
- Re-schedule the order book as required and communicate changes to customer services.
- Work closely with Planning colleagues to link the MPS into the shorter term production plans.
- Support the Planning Manager with reporting KPI's including revenue forecasting.

**Minimum Job Qualifications**
- Previous planning experience is required preferably within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Proven track record of effective Production Planning.
- Experience using MRP systems (SAP experience would be beneficial).
