Supervisor at Supervalu Portglenone

We have an opportunity for Supervisor to join our team at SuperValu Portglenone, 34-36 Main St, Portglenone, Ballymena BT44 8AB

This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week.

This role includes: 10% store discount, uniform, well-being incentives/ discounts, development plans and pension.

The role of supervisor is to assist in the day to day overall running of a store and maximizing the SuperValu Brand and Sales, which will involve delivery of the following duties:

- Delivery of excellent customer service and maintaining high standards within the store
- Development and driving forward certain categories in store
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales
- Ensuring the store adheres to Health & Safety and Environmental Health Standards
- Completing sales and costs reports as and when required
- Ensuring orders are accurate and submitted on time
- Preparing staff rota's
- Staff Supervision, including conducting Return to Work Interviews, Staff Investigations and ensuring full compliance to the Company's employment policies
- Being responsible for the store in the absence of the Store Manager

**Experience, Skills and Education**

Essential:

- At least 1 years’ experience in a busy retail sales-based environment, with some experience of margin
- Excellent attention to detail in store standards
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Desirable:

- Good working knowledge of all fresh food areas and an ability to support in maintaining an exceptionally high standard of operational efficiency throughout the store
- Proven experience in the areas of stock control, people skills, cost control, rota planning, HACCP implementation
- Further education in related discipline i.e. retail or business
- Experience gained in food retail
- Management or Supervisory qualification
- Fresh food operation i.e. bakery, FTG, Deli, provisions and coffee
