Our **Principal Product Compliance Officer **plays a crucial role in driving us forward in the UK and is vital to our department’s mission to turn the planet orange At the management level, you are the leading authority for compliance, safety and legislative-related considerations across the whole product lifecycle process, from R&D through to launch and into production. You will take full ownership of this area of the business and provide expert advice, whilst implementing and updating procedures. This often includes providing training and leadership concerning the compliance of equipment to ensure our commitment to the safety of our employees and customers. **Key Responsibilities**: - To guide the development teams and key company stakeholders with the interpretation of - compliance standards. - To guide the Design teams with respect to “functional safety in design”, ensuring that safety - considerations are paramount at fundamental levels. - To compile and maintain product technical files covering UK, European, US & Australasian - standards. - To be the leading authority within the company for all matters of Technical Product - compliance, able to advise and support the Directors/all levels of business. - To continually interrogate the company's procedures and documentation to keep up to date - with all changes required. - To conduct internal audits to ensure compliance at the product level and work with HSEQ to ensure - crossover compliance companywide is up to date. - To be the technical compliance authority with oversite across all product manuals and - literature. - To direct the modernisation of the legacy information to meet current legal and company - standards. **General Duties**: - To remain totally committed to making performance, reliability and exceptional customer care a reality for every customer we serve, by customers we mean colleagues, stakeholders and the people who buy from us. - To support the strategic aspirations of the business by proactively contributing to conversations in relation to plans for growth and expansion. - To willingly undertake any additional related tasks identified by the Engineering Director - To become a positive ambassador for Först Global and ensure adherence to all company policies. **Person specification**: **Relevant **Experience in a similar role (automotive, aerospace, defence, off-highway, marine but not **experience **limited to) **Skills **A formal Legal, engineering or technically biased qualification would be desirable but not an absolute requirement should extensive experience be demonstrable.
