**Distribution Centre - Warehouse Operative (Dundee)**

**Overview**:
As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for a range of warehouse duties, working within company security and health & safety guidelines, to ensure the effective and safe operation of the facility. These duties will include goods in, replenishment, picking, packing, loading, participation in stock takes and housekeeping all whilst utilising appropriate documentation and equipment. The use of Mechanical Handling Equipment (and some manual lifting) will be involved and as such you will need the ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism towards safety.

**Goods In Duties**:

- Take deliveries of goods into the warehouse
- Inspect and check delivered goods in accordance with procedures.
- Notify supervisor if any discrepancies or quality issues are found with delivered goods
- Use a PC terminal to record details of received goods.
- Use hand held stock management processors to record the putting away of goods into warehouse locations.
- Keep warehouse Stores areas accurately stocked and tidied.
- General stock management including the rotation and shelving of stock in line with expiry dates, and appropriate segregation of rejected or quarantined items.
- Help maintain a healthy, safe and presentable working environment in the Goods In and Stores areas at all times.

**Competencies/Skills**:

- A good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Basic familiarity in the use of computers.
- Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
