**About Us**:
This is a well-respected school in Southport that caters to children aged 16 to 24 with a focus on special educational needs. Our commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment is at the heart of everything we do.
We are currently looking for unqualified teaching assistants to join their dedicated team. While a formal qualification is not required, we are seeking individuals with a genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs. The role involves supporting both primary and secondary age students in their academic and personal development.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during classroom activities.
Support the teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for students.
**Requirements**:
Previous experience working with children, such as in a support worker or care role.
Personal experience with special educational needs is highly desirable.
Enthusiasm, empathy, and a commitment to the well-being and development of students.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
You must be willing to attend a registration interview.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.33% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Educational Needs, and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
