**Job Purpose**

**Your Responsibilities**
- Review the scope of work and perform field walkdowns for approved work orders to determine the parts and materials, manpower, duration, craft, tools, safety precautions, technical expertise needed, equipment manuals or drawings, equipment state needed to perform requested work and other resources (scaffolding, rigging, power, air etc.)
- Edit work orders to insure accuracy, standardisation, billing/payments, proper support documentation, timeframe, assigning contract resources, and updating as needed
- Order all required materials and verify they are accurate before scheduling the work
- Provide necessary planning information that ensures safe and efficient execution of jobs
- Review backlog and planning list for duplicate work orders.
- Hold quarterly backlog review/clean-up meetings with the department
- Group work orders that can be planned and worked on together to optimise utilisation of resources
- Create schedule for the next week: Pre-load schedule prior to core meetings with safety related items, PM’s and work not completed during the prior week

Select planned work orders based on priorities that are available for inclusion on the upcoming week’s schedule
Review proposed schedule during weekly core meeting and fill in the rest of the available manhours with input from core meeting attendees
- Understand your role in food safety and quality systems. Actively participate in efforts and ensures all activities conform to good manufacturing practices
- Responsible for utilizing the Performance Excellence process
- Identify obsolescence parts and locate suitable replacements

**Your Profile**
- NC/ONC/HNC/C&G in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred
- Detailed understanding of a Manufacturing Plant Operation and Maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Computerized Maintenance Systems, (CMMS)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with CMMS systems
- Knowledge of PE (performance excellence) or Continuous performance
- Ability to move about or to a work site by stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently or periods of prolonged sitting or standing
- Have a good understanding of engineering components i.e. Motors, bearings, drive chains and seals
- Have a good understanding of condition base maintenance
- Have a good understanding of asset management.
