Production Assembler

Oldham

Working in a production team the purpose of the role is to Assemble, Test, Rework and Overhaul basic and complex Safety Critical Electronic / Electrical Equipment used in various industries in accordance with the companies’ policies and procedures including customer specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

- Assembly, Test, Rework, Overhaul, and Inspection of Electrical/Electronic equipment to IPC610 standard.
- Cable Assembly to IPC620 standard.
- Ensure work is completed on time and in line with customers’ requirements.
- Be flexible to work in other departments as required.
- Liaise with colleagues, clients, and suppliers as appropriate.
- Training and mentoring of others as required, e.g. trainees & apprentices.

Desirable Skills:

- Electrical & Electronic Assembly & Rework experience.
- Understanding of standards ISO9001, IPC610 / 620 & 7711/21.
- Soldering/Desoldering.
- Wiring.
- Self-inspection.
- Computer literate.
