Interim Tax Integration Lead
**What you'll be doing?**:
Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function - Barratt Partnerships.
While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.
Reporting to the Group Tax Director, you will be responsible for delivering the integration of Barratt and Redrow tax systems and processes across all taxes. You will work with both businesses to understand how things are done today and make recommendations for how things should be done going forwards - taking the best from both and driving synergies.
Business partnering will be a key aspect of the role, integrating tax into day-to-day business operations to drive value. You will be given autonomy and have the opportunity to make the role your own. The business is on a journey of transformation and this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact at a FTSE 100.
You will be expected to:
- Work with each business to understand and document as required the tax systems and processes, covering all taxes including corporate tax, VAT, SDLT, CIS, employment taxes and transfer pricing.
- Work with each business to understand and document as required the approach to tax governance and management of tax including tax strategy, SAO, CCO and tax governance framework.
- Make recommendations for the integration of tax systems, processes and governance with a clearly defined project plan for implementation, including stakeholder management.
- Identify areas for improvement and changes to processes using technology to drive efficiencies and increase quality.
- Identify any areas of tax risk and actions required, prioritise these and develop a plan to address them.
- Deliver integrated high quality, robust and efficient tax systems, processes and governance framework for the enlarged Barratt Redrow plc group
**What you'll need?**:
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
- Strong UK tax background, 7+ years experience with a large amount of time spent in industry.
- Excellent UK tax technical knowledge with experience of working across different taxes.
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified.
- Demonstrable track record in driving change and process improvement.
- Experience of implementing tax technology solutions.
- Good commercial awareness and able to deliver robust pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
- Pro-active hands-on approach.
- Driven and able to manage multiple work streams.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner.
**Our Company and Benefits**:
We’ve been nationally recognised as a 5 star housebuilder since 2009 for supplying high-quality homes for all generations. That’s more than any other major housebuilder. As part of working for Barratt Redrow PLC and specifically for this role we offer:
