Metal Fabrication Estimator

We are looking for a Metal fabrication Estimator on a permanent basis to work for our historic client, who are expanding their business.This opportunity would suit anyone looking to progress their career and join a company that they can grow and develop in.
Hours of work would be Monday-Thursday 07.30am-4.30pm Friday 07.30am-12.30pm.
Duties include:
- Receiving enquiries
- Visiting site to take measurement for potential jobs and new contracts
- Reading drawing/specs and doing a material take off
- Producing estimates and quotes for the full content of work (materials, fabrication, installation)
- Producing estimates directly from consultant/engineer’s drawings as well as from drawings and lists produced by the internal drawing office
Essential attributes:
- Solid experience working as an Estimator on either structural steelwork or architectural metalwork required
- Must have excellent Microsoft skills, (i.e. Word, Excel)
- Various levels of experience working in this industry will be considered with a minimum requirement of 4 years working within a steelwork fabricator or similar metal fabrication business
Desired Experience:
- Good eye for detail and be an effective communicator both written and verbally
- Previous experience in a client facing role would be advantageous
