**ROLE OVERVIEW**:
In this busy and varied role,you will work with a small team where no two days are the same. We are no Amazon We are small, family run business who operate mostly manual processes so common sense, a good memory and a willingness to get stuck in will serve you well.

Our warehouse team are responsible for the smooth running of our warehouse operation. The role includes accurately picking and packing underfloor heating systems, heaters and trace heating pipe orders within agreed timescales, supporting with goods inwards and general stock control/stock taking, safe operation of our CNC machine, some bespoke assembly tasks and safe operation of hand-held machinery.

**SKILLS THAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:
**Do you have good memory recall and excellent attention to detail?**

‘Quality is king’ as this is what makes our customers happiest. We have a medium-term plan to implement an automated scanner system for order picking however for now, we continue to pick and pack orders manually using a paper picking list. Therefore, you will be required to carefully read, understand and recognise numerous product codes and recognise products by sight, some of which you are required to ‘just know’ once you are trained up so a good memory and strong attention to detail is essential in this role.

**Do you have good dexterity skills?**

There is an element of bespoke assembly in this role so some previous assembly experience/working with your hands would be ideal but is not essential as we can provide training. We do not operate an assembly line as such, we assemble small, table-top sized products to specific customer requirements. For example, you may be required to put together a number of electrical components, drill a hole in the outer plastic casing, attach an appropriate label/operating manual and then pack for dispatch.

Experience of safe working with heat guns, hand drills and bench drills would be helpful, although full training is provided.

Being ‘handy’ or having a hobby of making things/mechanics/DIY etc would serve you well in this task.

**Are you numerically confident?**

Part of this role includes manual stock-counting to ensure we keep our stock levels in tip top condition. You may be expected to count a small number of stock items frequently to ensure the CRM system remains up to date and to prevent us from running low on essential stock items.

**Do you have experience of operating CNC machinery or similar?**

If not, don’t worry as previous experience is not essential and full training will be provided but its important to explain that part of this role involves daily quality checks and operation of our CNC machine. This is used to cut grooves into our groove boards so you will be required to wear appropriate PPE including a facial mask. Groove boards are an essential part of our wet underfloor heating systems as they hold the pipework in place.

**Are you a tidy person?**

We like to keep our compact warehouse as tidy as possible. Being quite a small space, knowing where everything is is essential to successful order dispatch. We do have exciting expansion plans for our offices and warehouse, but for the short-term its important we use the space we have to the best of our abilities.

The role will also include receiving and unpacking stock orders into the appropriate storage location/s so being comfortable with an element of safe, manual lifting is also required.

**Do you have a full, clean driving licence?**

Whilst not essential, having a full, clean driving licence would definitely be of benefit as from time to time, our warehouse colleagues may be required to support with local, urgent customer deliveries.

**Do you have an FLT licence?**

Whilst not essential, it would be ideal if you have an FLT licence as we do have to move products and pallets by FLT on a regular basis. We may also ask you to perform daily safety checks on our FLT truck to help to keep us all safe.
