**Job Title: Plumber**

**Location: Covering Teesside and County Durham**

**Salary: £30,000 per annum (plus £150 - standby allowance)**

**Benefits: Company Vehicle, company pension scheme, BUPA (single cover), 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)**

**On Call / Standby: 1 week in 6**

**Hours: 45 hours a week - Monday to Friday (8.30 until 5.30 pm)**

Our client is one of the UK’s leaders in providing innovative construction and engineering solutions for clients within a variety of sectors including Retail, Health, Education and Commercial.

We are now looking to recruit an experienced Plumber to look after a small number of Small / Medium / Large retail stores across County Durham and Teesside, carrying out PPM’s and reactive Plumbing / Building maintenance.

**Job Purpose**:

- Assess the condition of plumbing in store and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
- Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- Order spares as per the required procedure.
- Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the Regional Supervisor of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable alternatives.
- Advise the store manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the running of the store.
- Carry out minor alterations and installations in accordance with current specifications.
- Ensure all tools and equipment necessary (as per company tool list) to complete maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with the company
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
- Maintain accurate time sheets and mileage logs as required.
- Attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
- Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, well maintained and serviced as required.
- Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Regional Supervisor / FM Contracts Manager.

- Response to service call requests within reasonable response time
- Compliance with Health and Safety policy
- Customer / colleague relationships and feedback.

**Principal Jobs Required**:

- Replacing / installing Macerators.
- First fix and full fix plumbing works.
- Fitting / Repairing Water Heaters.
- Repairing / Replacing Sanitary Wear.
- NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Plumbing
- Must hold a CSCS card.
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Customer focussed and helpful / friendly manner
