**The Opportunity**
Working within our client's busy team, you will be responsible as a Senior Engineer in liaising with clients, architects, electricians and other specialists.
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and support of a number of Residential and Commercial Systems including AV, IT, Lighting Control (Lutron) and Security installations. You will oversee work of Junior Engineers and will be responsiblefor the physical delivery of projects.
Main Responsibilities:

- Installation, configuration, programming and troubleshooting of various systems, including: Audio-Video: TVs, projectors, speakers, amplifiers, etc.; Lighting Control Systems (Lutron Platinum Dealer) ; Home Control and Building Management Systems; IT andTelephony equipment: Satellite and Cable systems, AV over IP, Matrix solutions, PCs Macs, telephone systems, routers, switches, Wifi APs and Controllers; CCTV intruder alarms.
- Termination and management of Fibre, Cat6 and Co-AX to a high standard.
- You will also be integrating Alexa, Siri and Google voice control into completed systems.
- Overseeing, coaching and mentoring junior engineers, technicians and apprentices;
- Installation, termination and testing of structured wiring;
- Rack building, testing and configuration of rack-mounted devices.

Based in central Birmingham salary is negotiable circa £30k-£35k plus company vehicle, pension etc.,
Your skills and experience
- Min. 3 years practical experience in the Home Automation, AV, IT or Security industries;
- Practical knowledge and experience working with all of the following: AV equipment, lighting, electrical, IT or structured wiring;
- Experience and trained on Lutron Lighting Control,
- Strong Skills in Microsoft Office, Visio, experience with Dtools an advantage.
- Ability to work safely on construction sites and understanding of 1st, 2nd and final fixing;
- Attention to detail;
- Driving Licence;
- Impeccable manners, efficient and well-organised;
- Relevant industry training qualifications will be advantageous.
