General Stevedore

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Load and unload cargo from vessels using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery for materials handling as required.
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse environment.
- Conduct inspections of cargo and equipment to identify any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities using a warehouse management system.
- Collaborate with team members to build and secure loads for transport.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in loading and unloading cargo, preferably in a stevedoring or warehouse setting.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts, specifically B2 would be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Whilst this role will be predominantly based in Goole, it is possible you may be required to travel to other RMS Ports sites in the Humber area.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.18-£18.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
