Job Title: Marketing Assistant - Digital Marketing

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Hours: Full time 37.5hrs (occasional weekend working on events)

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a marketer or recent graduate. EDGE Tea & Coffee are entering an exciting period of growth, with some big projects to launch in 2025. We are looking for a passionate marketer to join our team and create a buzz for the new launch. This role is perfect for a creative thinker with a good eye for design and an understanding of social channels. The role has a strong digital focus and you will be required to make updates to our Shopify website. We have a strong community ethos, so applicants would ideally live locally and have an understanding of the local area.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a graduate or junior marketing professional to gain new skills and build on current experience by helping to run the organisation’s marketing, website and internal communications. Ideally we are looking for someone living in the local area and who has a strong digital focus. The position is mainly based at our HQ Roastery near Arundel, West Sussex.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ownership of organic social media channels
- Developing and creating content for paid media
- Using Canva and Adobe Suites to create graphics and publications
- Carrying out administrative tasks to keep the website working efficiently
- Create and develop new pages and product pages on our Shopify website
- Assist the team with testing of new website features
- Assist with general activities including publishing website content, preparing and attending events.
- Dealing with customer queries, complaints and resolutions including answering telephone calls.
- In collaboration with the warehouse team ensure that all online orders go out correctly and on time.
- Liase with third parties and charities
- Assist with organising and marketing our events
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Operations Manager

Desirable
- Understanding of Klaviyo or similar platform
- 1 years experience using Shopify
- Able to use Canva independently
- Some knowledge of Adobe suites
- Experience of Facebook & Instagram

Essentials
- High levels of written English
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail and quality checking
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Skilled at multi-tasking with the ability to prioritise work appropriately
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in a similar role, carrying out similar duties
- Self Motivated, result driven individual
- Personable and confident on the phone
- 1 year in an office environment
- Marketing Degree (or similar qualification)

For the purpose of this role, you will be expected to work in-house. However, hybrid working can be negotiated if tasks allow.

Pay: £23,400.00 per year
