Sexual Harassment and Violence Advisor

**Join our Harassment and Violence Support Service** as a Sexual Harassment and Violence Adviser, where you will support students across the collegiate University who have experienced sexual violence or domestic abuse, recently or in the past.
As a key member of a specialist team within Student Support, this role involves providing impartial emotional and practical support, along with policy guidance, to students in need. You'll also support staff through training, workshops, and consultations, particularly those with pastoral responsibilities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students, offering a safe, confidential space.
- Collaborate with University teams, including Counselling and Mental Health Advice Services, to enhance student support.
- Work closely with external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Deliver training and workshops to staff and offer expert consultation on issues surrounding sexual violence and abuse.
**About You**:
- Have significant experience in providing one-on-one support to adults who have experienced sexual violence or domestic abuse.
- Hold or be willing to work towards an Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) or Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) qualification.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the impact and dynamics of sexual violence, with strong risk assessment skills and knowledge of relevant UK legislation.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust and credibility with students and staff.
- Show emotional resilience, clear boundaries, and an ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Have a strong interest in working with students in Higher Education.
