If you have a passion for using research to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and families then come and join our team We are looking for a talented Research and Evaluation Officer to join the team and drive forward our newly developed offer. The Research and Evaluation Team is part of Data and Insights, a forward-thinking, ambitious department within Barnardo's that is focussed on enabling and empowering colleagues to make decisions with the best available data. In the Research and Evaluation Team, this means:

- We take the lead on overseeing and aligning research and evaluation across Barnardo's, including making sure we maintain high standards of quality and ethics
- We lead on evidencing and communicating the needs and experiences of children, young people and families, including through systematically collecting information from our practitioners
- We are spearheading work to evidence and communicate the impact Barnardo's makes, including developing a new outcomes framework
- We provide expert support and guidance, including helping colleagues to design or commission research and evaluation, and promoting evidence-led practice.

You'll be joining a supportive team; we encourage everyone to take ownership of projects and suggest new ways of improving how we do things in the team.

Our ultimate goal is to support the organisation to use research and evaluation as a mechanism for achieving our overall ambition: to change childhoods, and change lives.

The starting salary for this role is £31,850.00 (Full Time Equivalent), other salaries are shown so that applicants are aware of the progression salaries.
