**We are seeking Associate Lecturers to join our growing team in the following areas**:
- Business Management
- Health & Social Care Leadership
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- English Language
**Position Overview**:
- Start Date: January 2025
- Interviews: First and second week of November 2024
- Salary: £25-40 per hour (depending on experience)
- Contract: Hourly, 0-hour contract
- Mode of Delivery: Combination of remote mostly (online) and face-to-face (on-site) teaching
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Deliver engaging and effective lectures across your area of expertise both online and face-to-face
- Utilise both remote (online) and on-site teaching methods to reach a diverse student body.
- Use Moodle as the primary Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate course delivery. This includes uploading teaching materials, keeping resources up-to-date, and ensuring all content aligns with LSBC’s academic standards.
- Provide students constructive feedback, support, and guidance to ensure academic success both formative and summative including marking assessments.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that promote student engagement and learning.
- Participate in course development, programme committee meeting and contribute to continuously improving LSBC’s academic programs.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) or membership of Advanced HE.
- Experience in using Moodle or similar Learning Management Systems is essential.
- Familiarity with both blended learning approaches (online and face-to-face) is highly desirable.
**Desirable Skills and Experience**:
- Previous teaching experience in higher education, particularly in the UK.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency with online teaching tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
- A passion for nurturing student development and academic success.
