Visual Impairment Learning Support Assistant

Here at Destination Education we are currently looking for a caring and compassionate individual to fill the role of a **Visual Impairment (VI) Learning Support Assistant** in an 'outstanding' OFSTED inspected Post-16 college, based in the** Boroughof Enfield, North London**, for students with mild to Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
This purpose built college, is the first of its kind in North London and has a vast variety of** incredible facilities**, such as; a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, sports hall, physiotherapy facilities, art and crafts rooms and much more.
This fantastic September start role is available as either a **4-day or 5-day week** Whichever suits you best
You will also have **a week of PAID training**, prior to starting the role.
**Visual Impairment (VI) Learning Support Assistant **Responsibilities:
- Help maintain an engaging and stimulating environment for the student.
- Working on a 1:1 basis with a student with Visual Impairment (VI) and complex needs.
- To build and maintain successful relationships with students and staff; treating them with respect and consideration.
**Visual Impairment (VI) Learning Support Assistant** Requirements:
- Previous experience in a role supporting individuals with Visual Impairment (VI) and/or mild to Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
- Care/Support Workers are also advantageous.
