**£13.80 per hour
- Days**

**2 x 36 hours per week contract available-**to be on a rolling rota to include alternative weekend work.

**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES REGARDING INDIVIDUALS**:
As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker you will be expected to adhere to support plans and implement behaviour interventions for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in their own homes. The ages of the individuals range from 10 - 18 years old.

This will involve working with the children and their families and staff on a rota basis.

Provide direct support to children who exhibit complex and challenging behaviour.

Manage the behaviour and to enable them to participate in a wide range of therapeutic and social activities.

Experience of working in a regulated Ofsted children’s home desirable.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in a Children and Young People related field

We will expect our PBS support staff to follow the clinical frameworks of Applied Behavioural Analysis and Positive Behavioural Support plans under the guidance of our Registered Children’s Manager.

Promote independence with daily activities, such as personal care, cooking, finance management where appropriate, and general housekeeping.

**About you**:
Knowledge of positive behaviour support interventions is important as well as an understanding of social care in particular in relation to safeguarding practice.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Scarborough, North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Supporting children in a residential setting: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (CYP or Equivalent) (preferred)
