Depending on the size of the respective opportunities and the timing of sales cycles, the Commercial Development Manager will often be responsible for multiple bids concurrently.

- Leading or contributing to the development of internal processes, best practices and the general commercial education of non-commercial staff.
- Supporting early deal /offering shaping and pre-engagement qualification.
- Shaping and developing commercial propositions that meet client business needs, are technically deliverable and financially viable, working in support of the sales function and as directed by the Commercial Development Director.
- Providing oversight of all aspects of a strategic transaction including the solution; service design; performance metrics; third party arrangements; delivery costs and profitability (forecast P&L) and commercial/financial risks as well as owning specificresponsibility for contracts with clients and sub-contractors.
- Identifying. assessing and mitigating commercial risks associated with transactions within delegated responsibility levels and ensure adherence to all corporate governance processes.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Able to form effective positive relationships with client and internal senior executives and stakeholders.
- Able to lead multi-disciplined internal teams, clients and third parties to drive transactions through to completion.
- Provide thought leadership in relation to new commercial structures, service design, risk identification and management.
- Demonstrate negotiation and influencing skills focused on securing the best possible long-term outcomes the business.
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity and tactfulness in all dealings with colleagues and clients.
- Possess a business development mentality, supporting the sales process whilst ensuring commercially robust and deliverable at manageable risk.
- Relish an environment that is fast moving and ever changing - working in multiple teams on a wide variety of temporary projects with differing challenges and timescales.
- Able to use experience, foresight and curiosity to identify, quantify, agree and document risks and associated costs and mitigation strategies.
- Be sufficiently financially numerate to understand and interpret complex financial models underpinning major transactions.
- Have strong inter-personal skills and sales experience/awareness to ensure client relationships are nurtured and preserved throughout the bid and negotiation cycle.
