**Position**:Speech and Language Therapist

**Location**:Oldbury, West Midlands

**Hours**:7.5 per week

**Salary Details**:£28,412 - £31,766 pro rota

We are looking for a **Speech and Language Therapist** to support clients who have learning disabilities, ASD and/or Mental Health issues. You will work alongside other dedicated colleagues from Psychiatry, Psychology, Occupational Therapy andNursing to share knowledge and skills.

**Essential**:

- Previously worked for the NHS
- HCPC Registered Speech and Language Therapist
- Experience working with Young people and/or adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health problems
- Excellent Organisational skills
- Able to communicate and build relationships with other professions

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Manage patients case load, write reports and completing assessments to monitor progress against goals and targets
- Strive to provide goals and targets to encourage patients to reach their full potential
- Organise and provide an intensive outcome driven programme to patients who may exhibit risk/offending behaviours
- Work closely with other professions to deliver a programme that will help the patients continue to develop, increase and maintain their progress
- Provide Life changing treatment, support and care for Young people and adults who have difficulties with eating, drinking and swallowing
- Provide a treatment plan that will help patients to improve their communication skills

This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities, the post holder may be required to undertake other duties following appropriate discussion with their line manager.
