A Crew Member is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. They must provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests
They must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively. A Crew Member must be prepared to work as a team member in a dynamic workplace, follow all safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat in a kitchen environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the taking and preparing orders by customers.
- Responsible for the preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.
- Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring guests received the highest possible level of service to maintain overall satisfaction on a consistent basis, and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Be passionate about customer service with the capability of delivering amazing hospitality to our guests.
- Be courteous, warm, smiling while dealing with guests. Be efficient, fast and serve with confidence and flair.
- To use up-selling techniques when selling food and beverage items.
- Must learn and describe the food/menu proficiently. Inform guests of any allergens, special offers and menu changes.
- Thank guest and invite guests to return.
- Ability to use POS and understand all features available.
- Correctly post all sales.
- Process the bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card and or cash payments
- In case of cash payments, ensure to receive and return accurate amount.
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
- Prepare a requisition for all items necessary to bring the restaurant inventory back to par stock level after service.
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills, throughout the day.
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Turn off all equipment and secure all inventories after service.
- Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including sweeping of the floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures.
- Ensure timely preparation of all meals.
- Ensure that the correct quantities are prepared to meet daily needs.
- Utilize kitchen equipment during food preparation.
- Stay productive at all times and prepare for future needs as time allows.
- Demonstrate flexibility and volunteer to fill open shifts as required by variations in staffing.
- Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents to ensure follow-up and prevention.
- Adhere to all regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials and fire safety.
- Serve food in the proper portion size and at the proper temperature.
- Report any infraction in the food services department policies and procedures.
- Be willing and ready to assist colleagues as and when situations arise.
- Responsible for attending on-going training on full-time and ensure compliance of company standards and procedures.
- Arrive to work at the scheduled time.
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Manager, Chef, Sous
Chef at any time.
**Qualification and Skill requirements**
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required.
- Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required.
- Must be free of diseases that may be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50KG.
- Effective communication skills.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Highly effective teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 1 day
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £2,184.00 per month
