The Role:
Our client is a global manufacturing organisation with a significant asset footprint in the North East. They are currently looking to strengthen their regulatory team with a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Officer, who will take responsibility aspart of a team for all UK health, safety and environmental priorities including Management Systems approvals to ensure manufacturing plants retain Environment (ISO 14001), Quality (ISO9001) & H&S (ISO 45001) accreditation.
- Performing Internal and support external audits, driving timely closure of non-conformances.
- Reporting monthly structured data to group stakeholders.
- Monitoring of factory environmental and H&S KPI’s.
- Advising on legislative requirements and upkeep of register of aspects & legislation.
- Advising management of potential environmental impacts which could be generated by business decisions.
- Development of action plans alongside UK management teams.
- Assist in internal projects (with health & safety environmental impact).
- Assist in work place monitoring - review frequency, feedback results to senior management and relevant departments.
- Packaging waste submissions.
- Integrate Environmental / H&S into training programs, and monitor and recommend EHS training.
- Assist, review, and give training in incident investigation.
- Attend monthly H&S meetings on site, and group environmental meetings.
- Assist in H&S/Environmental campaigns and strategy developments.
The Person:

- A member of IEMA & or IOSH.
- Audit qualification.
- Ability to organise and prioritise with good attention to detail.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude to learning and developing their skill set.
- Excellent Presentation skills - In person and digitally.
- Computer literate using Microsoft software
