Wold Academy is recruiting for a Lunchtime Supervisor.

At Wold Academy, everybody shares the same goal: to allow children to develop the self-belief and self-confidence necessary to achieve their dreams. Our Lunchtime Supervisors play an important role in ensuring a safe and positive learning environment inside school and in the playground.

**About the role**

**7.50 Hours Per Week - Monday to Friday 1 hour 30 minutes per day / Term Time Only (38 weeks per year) / Fixed term to 31st August 2025**

To supervise and assist children during lunchtime, inside the school and in the playground, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment is maintained and that all children behave in an appropriate manner.

To provide positive and firm control by implementing the school discipline/behaviour policy.

Effective supervising pupils in the dining hall and other parts of the school.

Ensure there is adequate provision of resources, including play equipment and organised games, to keep children occupied during the lunchtime period.

Liaise with teaching staff to share information, concerns and issues regarding children to ensure that there is continuity in helping to solve any issues or problems throughout the school.

**Salary & Benefits**

Ability to empathise with the needs of children.

Encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times.

Able to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions.

Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties.

Ability to communicate with a wide range of people.

Be able to talk to children and adults in a clear and calm manner.

Work as a team member and on your own initiative.

Ability to initiate games and activities appropriate to the age of the children.

Be able to inspire trust and confidence in children.

Play an important part in the wider safeguarding of children - identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action to safeguard and protect them.
