We are currently looking for **Senior / Project Scientists** to join our busy team

You will be responsible for the development of new analytical methods as required by our clients or regulations. The Senior Project Scientist will also arrange for the work to be done and to support delivery, troubleshooting and provide validation and technicalexpertise of these projects.

**Salary**:
£27,000-£35,000 (Senior Project Scientist)

£23,000-£27,000 (Project Scientist)

**Senior Project Scientist Duties**:

- Effectively manage workload within the team
- Interface with other Broughton teams to provide input into study design
- Develop expertise in the relevant field
- Innovate new ways of working

**Project Scientist Duties**:

- Develop new analytical methods to meet regulatory or client needs
- Ensure that method validation is performed to the appropriate standards
- Share ideas and approaches with other team members, working collaboratively to achieve the project aims
- Provide technical input and support troubleshooting activities

**Senior Project Scientist Requirements**:

- Good analytical and technical problem-solving skills
- Confident verbal reasoning skills
- Good IT skills
- Extensive experience with HPLC, GC, MS
- Technical experience of using a CDS

**Preferred**:

- Experience with root cause analysis
- Experience of working directly with customers
- Experience in using statistical packages
- Experience in using Thermo instrumentation
- Experience with Chromeleon

**Project Scientist Requirements**:

- 2 or more years’ experience in a regulated analytical chemistry laboratory
- **Experience of analytical method development and validation**:

- Comfortable taking initiative and working as part of a team

**Preferred**
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as ICH guidelines, GMP etc
- Experience of method development/validation in a regulated environment
- Solution-focused approach

**Qualifications and Education (Both roles)**
- Degree in (analytical) chemistry, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in working in a regulated analytical laboratory, a significant part of which in method development/R&D environment.
