Moreton Hills Golf Centre is a busy 50 bay Golf Driving Range on the beautiful Wirral peninsula. The venue also includes an 18 hole astro turf Viking themed Adventure Golf Course and various other attractions including a six hole golf course and Brand New state of the art Short Game Zone.

With this in mind we are seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team and help with the day to day running of the facility, the role is not solely Greenkeeping. The successful applicant should have all-round grounds maintenance and general building maintenance experience to assist the Site Manager in their absences.

This is a physically demanding role which requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, we offer a competitive salary, company uniform, contributory pension scheme and various other benefits.

Main Responsibilities will include:
- Management and quality control of golf range balls and the golf ball cleaning and delivery system
- Cutting and Preparation of the Range Field and surrounding grass areas
- Maintenance, cutting and preparation for play of the short game zone
- General cutting and maintenance of the 6 hole golf course and surrounding areas
- General grass maintenance around site when required
- Grounds maintenance control and preparation of the Adventure Golf Course borders and planted areas
- To use and maintain all machinery applicable to the role in a professional manner. To arrange repair or conduct general maintenance to all equipment when necessary.
- General DIY and Maintenance to site when required

Knowledge Skills and Experience required:
- Bonus to have at least 1 years experience in ground-keeping or greenkeeping (qualifications in Sports Turf etc a plus)
- Use and experience in the safe use of a variety of hand and powered grounds keeping tools
- Proven use of machinery and the knowledge to maintain correctly (excavators, tractors, sit on mowers etc)
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach to work
- Ability to manage and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and can do attitude
- PA1-PA6 Spraying Certificates an advantage but not essential
- First Aid certificate an advantage but not essential
- Full driving licence a must
