If you are interested or would like an informal chat please call Support Manager, Chris on 07711 792277_**

**About the role**:
As my Support Worker you will be assisting and encouraging me to live my best life as I move into my own home. I’d like you to enable me to become an integrated member of my community, promoting physical and social participation and teaching me essential life skills to further build my independence. I’ve lots of skills already, I like to keep busy; my favourite thing to do is going out on my bicycle and coming home to make us all a cup of tea.

I am told I am a very likeable person, but I am not always going to be easy to support, when I am frustrated or feeling unsafe, I will communicate this to you through my behaviours. It is very important to me that you are understanding of my needs, patient, brave and committed to supporting me.

**About you**:
As much as I would like people with previous experience of care to work with me, this is not essential, having the right values is more important. My support provider, will give you all of the support and training you need with good rates of pay and benefits. Plus, you get to work with me What greater benefit could you ask for??

**It is essential you hold a full driving licence, but I have my own vehicle.**

**About the organisation**:
The charity you will be working for are a well-established, national organisation which provides support to thousands of adults across the UK with learning disabilities and mental health conditions living in the community.

They recognise that their people are their greatest asset, that’s why they invest in their training and development and enable them to gain industry-recognised qualifications and supporting them in realising their own career aspirations.

The charity is an equal opportunities employer who values its staff and the difference they make to their customers. There is no place for racism or discrimination of any kind. They are committed to recruiting the best staff whatever their ethnicity, race, religious beliefs or sexual orientation may be. All newly appointed staff receive an induction, during which they will learn about PRIDE values, expectations of how they should treat customers and commitments in relation to how they will be treated as a member of staff.

**In return**:
You will receive a fantastic benefits package including:
A comprehensive induction programme
Being part of a progressive and dynamic team where you will meet new people and feel valued
A large range of employee benefits including flexible hours to fit around you and the needs of customers; competitive rates of pay; reimbursement of mileage expenses and a free DBS; paid holiday of up to 30 days after five years continuous service, plus bank holidays per year (pro-rata for part-time employees); access to a lone-worker system to provide you with security when you need it; enrolment in a pension scheme with matched contributions above the statutory minimum; free, nationally recognised training linked to all aspects of the role; and staff discounts at over 250 high-street retailers including Marks and Spencer, Mothercare, Sainsbury’s, Apple and many more.

The charity is regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing and the Care Quality Commission and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people they support. You will be required to provide evidence of right to work. An Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role.

Other roles you may have experience of could include: Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker, HCA, Healthcare Assistant, etc.
