IMPART is composed of friendly, busy, and innovative staff delivering third wave CBT evidence based psychological therapies to clients with a diagnosis of personality disorder across NELFT. We are seeking staff with some knowledge of CBT and/or DBT who would like to develop their expertise in working with complex trauma (PD) in the our community based service. We work with a hybrid model, allowing staff to combine working on site with virtual working, thus allowing for flexibility and a better work/life balance.
IMPART is closely linked to the psychology department at University College London, and staff participate in supporting the doctorate in clinical psychology through reflective practice facilitation, teaching, and research. IMPART staff benefit from a wide rage of CPD available through UCL. IMPART was one of the three IAPT SMI demonstration sites for NHS England, thus we are seeking applicants with experience of working with individuals with a personality disorder, and interested in expanding the evidence base for effective services.
Training in DBT will be provided by a consultant DBT trainer. Training in CBT for PD will be provided by an expert in CBT. Opportunities exist for training in ACT, CFT, and NET.
We are looking for someone who is creative, flexible, autonomous, and good under pressure; who can manage multiple demands, prioritizing as needed. We are seeking someone with excellent spoken and written communication skills. IMPART therapists provide individual and group treatments, undertake complex assessments and formulations, participate in the ongoing evaluation of outcome and audit, participate in research, and provide consultation to other staff/teams.
