Production Planner

**About The Opportunity**:

- Produce and communicate daily production planning and scheduling plans for Analysers, Transducers, Spares and all associated Sub-Assemblies
- Plan and schedule workflow for each operational area in accordance to, and supporting of, manufacturing sequences as determined by Manufacturing
- Analyse and review lead times to reflect actual manufacturing processes
- Ensure SAP date accuracy is maintained through regular housekeeping of data.
- Ability to understand ROP, KANBAN and Safety stock levels
- Produce and maintain a rolling forecast for finished level production
- Review BOM and master data as required
- Produce capacity plan detail to enable forward planning of production areas
- To be involved in S&OP process, producing data and analysing sales detail as required
- Review re-order points and adjust according to current demands
- Produce department KPIs where applicable
- Undertake associated projects - stock, planning and production, master data actions etc.
- Carry out forecasting and inventory analysis for future planning and purchasing decisions
- Perform inventory analysis of safety stocks, re-order point review as required
- To hold daily production meetings with production areas and update KPI’s as appropriate
- Contribute to CI initiatives to enhance throughput, product and service levels to our customer
- Determine and implement appropriate planning processes within the business
- Support the wider Supply Chain team with day-to-day activities as required

**About Your Talent**:
**Essential Skills, Experience**:

- Proven experience of working in a Production Planner role within a manufacturing or closely related environment
- Excellent understanding of MRP
- SAP - Manufacturing Production Planning experience
- Experience of Forecasting and S&OP
- High level of Excel competence
- Strong and demonstratable level of literacy and numeracy
- Logical and analytical
- Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Team spirited with strong influencing skills - motivated to communicate with varying teams across the business
- Ability to work under pressure

**Essential Qualifications**:

- BTEC or A-levels (or equivalent), science and engineering fields are preferred

**Desirable Education / Qualifications**:

- Professional Planning or Supply Chain qualification (APICS/CILT) in relevant topics
