Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a **Youth Worker **for a Local Authority Client based in **East London.**
In this role, you will engage with young people through dynamic projects, helping to plan and deliver a variety of educational and recreational activities that promote their personal and social development.
**About the role**:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Plan, organise, and deliver youth activities and programmes in line with service goals.
- Engage with young people to assess their needs and provide tailored support, including mentoring and coaching.
- Support young people in developing personal action plans and setting goals for their development.
- Manage and contribute to the planning of community events and activities designed to engage young people.
- Create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can participate in recreational activities like sports, arts, and drama.
**About you**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with young people in a youth work, teaching, or social care setting.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people, including those with SEND, young carers, or those at risk of gang involvement.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing one-to-one/group support to young people.
**What’s on offer**:
**Salary**: £18+ph
**Contract type**: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
