**Brief Overview of Role**

Wytech are recruiting an Apprentice Finance Assistant to join the team. You will learn all about the internal systems and processes from the current finance assistant, whilst reporting into the Directors of the business. Duties will be varied you will receive full support and guidance whilst on the apprenticeship.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintaining ledgers (sales & purchase) using accountancy software
- Bank reconciliations, ensuring any receipts match the bank statements
- Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
- Processing invoices by logging them into accountancy software
- Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs)
- Process any tax payments
- Financial admin etc

**Training**

The apprentice will be enrolled on the Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard, which includes 6 AAT exams, in addition to the Synoptic Assessment as part of the End-Point Assessment (EPA) process.

The knowledge units will be delivered at the EMA training hub in Derby or Nottingham (depending on apprentices location) through day release.

AAT Modules are as follows:

- Bookkeeping Transactions (L2 Unit)
- Bookkeeping Controls (L2 Unit)
- Advanced Bookkeeping
- Final Accounts Preparation
- Management Accounting: Costing
- Indirect Tax

**Career Progression**

There is an opportunity for the successful apprentice to progress onto a Level 4 position and beyond, with an option to pursue CIMA up to Level 7.
