East Cheshire CAMHS service has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6, CAMHS Practitioner to join their Community CAMHS Team. The post is a 12 month fixed term contract.

We are looking for applicants that have experience in evidence based therapeutic interventions for children, young people and their families. The Community CAMHS Team consists of experienced CAMHS clinicians from a variety of professional disciplines with experience of providing therapeutic input, managing risk/ complexity and multi-agency working. Within that team we have the East Cheshire Spoke of the Cheshire-wide community Hub and Spoke Eating Disorder Services for children and young people.

Do you want to improve the pathways for children and young people’s mental health services?

**You will have**:
- A high level of enthusiasm and dedication to providing quality, community based mental health and eating disorder services to children, young people, and their families
- Experience in undertaking specialist assessments and providing interventions & formulations to address the needs of the client group
- Experience of working with children and young people who, due to their eating disorders and their mental and emotional health needs, present with a significant level of clinical risk
- Experience of working under pressure and in a demanding, fast paced environment
- To have the skill to adapt and the flexibility to think on your feet due to the nature of your role
- Access to transport or have the ability to travel to a variety of venues as part of the working day

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
