Are you looking for your next opportunity within Software Development? Do you have experience leading a team but still want to maintain an element of coding? I’m currently recruiting for a **Software Engineering Manager** to join a growing business in the Reading area who are looking for an experienced developer who has previously led a team of 3-4.
As the **Software Engineering Manager**, you will be responsible for managing a mid-sized team, ensuring that the solutions provided meet the expectations of clients and to the quality of the product roadmap. You will take part in planning meetings,performance reviews and contribute to the way the department is run whilst also being able to code and have an input on the development side. You must have experience in a lead role along with the required development experience, although my client was keento stress that it’s a hands-on role with roughly 25% of time spent coding/working with the team. Their tech stack leans more towards the backend with C# and.Net but also incorporates front end and Cloud technologies.
**Being a management position, this role ideally requires office working of once a week but can be once every 2 weeks if needed.**To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the successful **Software Engineering Manager** will require experience of;
- Experience leading a team of 4-5 developers along with the responsibilities that come with that.
- Strong development experience and desire to remain hands-on when needed.
- Excellent backend experience with Microsoft technologies including C# and.Net.
- Strong experience of cloud development (Azure or AWS).
- Other skills include: Agile methodologies, CI/D, Angular, Microservices.
- Good leadership, communication and motivational skills all synonymous with leading a team.
In return our client can offer the successful **Software Engineering Manager** a starting salary of between **£75,000-£80,000 DOE**plus numerous benefits including 25days holiday, Pension, Private Healthcare and other benefits.
