**Trainee Accountant Main Responsibilities**:

- Report to the Training Manager and working with a team of Trainee Accountants
- Preparation of accounts for small businesses with manual and computerised records
- Book-keeping and preparation of VAT returns etc.
- Using Excel and Xero or Sage Line 50 or other accounting packages
- Assist senior staff with audit assignments

**Ideal Trainee Accountant**:

- Must have GCSE Maths and English Language (grade B/6 or higher)
- Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development
- Good MS Word and Excel skills are essential
- Have strong communication skills are essential as the Trainee Accountant will be expected to visit clients within 6 - 12 months of training
- Will need to travel to client sites therefore a valid driving licence and own transport is essential
