**The Role**
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Brokerage Advisor to join our Personalised Commissioning Team. The Team dedicated to ensuring people are receiving the support and care they need to maintain their independence and wellbeing, we are responsible for Sourcing Packages of Care and support from the market place for people who may be funding services themselves or eligible for Health or Social Care funding, the services include but are not limited to Care Homes, Domiciliary Care, Supported living, Extra Care, Reablement, Day Services.
**You will**;
- Work with the person and their representatives to identify and source suitable provisions under a number of contracts to ensure they are appropriately supported,
- Liaise with care providers, social workers, and legal professionals to advocate for the best interests of the individuals.
- Negotiate placement and package costs with the providers
- Maintain accurate and timely records.
- Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Managing own case load and meeting strict time frames
- Ensuing all services are meeting their contractual obligations
- Prioritise cases in emergency situations and ensure quality and contractual requirements are met.
**Work Style**

**Fixed Worker**
- 4+ days in the office
- Spends most or all of their time in the office, due to nature of the work but can be for reasons such as unsuitable home working conditions or a desire for separation of home and work life.
- The office remains a shared space with cultural encouragement for clear desk policies.
**About You**
- We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting people and who possesses the following skills and experience:
**Essential Criteria**:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proven negotiation skills
- Effective and clear record keeping skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate adaptability in ways of working and problem solving
- Confidence to work with Providers and challenge when necessary
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Practical experience of working with people with various care and support needs
- A knowledge of care and support providers and what they can offer under their registrations
