**About the role**:
Working as Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) at High Peak School, you will play a vital role in enhancing the communication skills and overall wellbeing of our students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

You will be an integral part of our growing team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will be working with our pupils, supporting the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and young pupils with a range of needs Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN) and complex needs associated with additional learning needs and ASC.

You will manage your own caseload and work flexibly, providing therapy services to children and young pupils according to clinical need and in close liaison with the highly specialist clinical team covering both schools.

You will participate actively in multi-disciplinary meetings, staff meetings, supervision, training and annual appraisals. Working in collaboration with other Speech and Language Therapists and clinical team colleagues you will support the development of Speech and Language Therapy services across Kedleston Group. Clinical supervision will be provided by internal Senior Speech and Language Therapists or funded externally.

**About you**:
You will have:

- a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
- UK HCPC Registration, and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- successful post registration practice and experience with young people (ideally experience of working with children with ASC needs)
- working knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding Legislation and other legislation.
