To provide support to the HR Manager in adopting best practice in delivering an effective, efficient and legally compliant HR service to Directors, Managers, Team Leaders and Team Members.
To provide support to the business to make sure it fulfils its legal obligations in protecting the health, safety and well-being of all colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development, production and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide an effective recruitment process including liaising with recruitment agencies and Line Managers, using social media advertising, conducting interviews and providing feedback in line with agreed targets and deadlines
- Preparation of employment offer letters and contracts
- Gather references for new employees and process new starter documentation.
- Provide an effective induction process for all new employees
- Maintain HR record systems, scanning, filing, data collation and record updates within the boundaries of GDPR
- Prepare documents for submission for the monthly payroll (salary data, overtime, shift pay, bonus/commission payments, holiday pay, SMP, SSP etc.) and carry out necessary reconciliation checks to approve payments
- Support Team Leaders in managing discipline and grievance situations, referring complex cases to the HR Manager
- Monitor and report on sick absence in accordance with the current policy and procedure
- Oversee the production of the Staff Newsletter, including encouraging production of content from colleagues across the business
- Provide cover for Reception at lunchtime, during holidays and periods of absence as required.
- Support the HR Manager to monitor and manage Contractor H&S Documentation records ensuring up to date information is available e.g. insurance documents, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers and colleagues in accordance with employment legislation, HR policies and procedures, referring to the HR Manager if appropriate
- Support the HR Manager in the collection and analysis of data for KPIs and surveys
- Collect, collate and maintain safety information for regular contracts and for ad hoc works on PA site
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
