**CONTRACT**: Permanent full time over 5 days with weekend availability

**SALARY**: £13 - £15 experience depending

You will work alongside our bakers to learn the existing repertoire of products we make. We also encourage creativity and schedule time every week for new product / technique development. You will receive regular internal and external training.

We believe that great products are produced by happy bakers, so we genuinely want you to enjoy working with us. Our kitchen is connected to the front of house, so you will receive instant feedback from our customers. They like to know their heroes, who makes the delicious products they come to buy from us

**EXPERIENCE AND TRAITS WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN THE BAKER**:

- Our approach to nurturing our bakers is to find what section of baking they thrive in most and develop it. We produce baked goods in several categories including artisan bread, pastries, cakes and cookies. We are looking for a keen baker who cannot not bake, figure out what they are best at and develop that side of their skill and creativity.
- You are an early riser and a good timekeeper
- You are diligent, methodical and have a good attention to detail
- You are passionate about bread, tasting and experimenting with new recipes
- It is important to you that every loaf is delicious and beautiful
- You are unflappable under pressure. We promote a low stress environment but we are a busy bakery
- You are excellent at maintaining a clean and organised working space including clean equipment, utensils and presentable uniform
- You are very serious about cleanliness, hygiene and allergens
- Physically strong to work on your feet the entire shift
- Willing to learn new skills
- You are committed to supporting your team, being polite and honest
- You are fluent in English and have all legal permits to work in the UK

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE**:

- Prepare and measure ingredients for baking various products, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Operate baking equipment and ovens safely and efficiently.
- Monitor baking processes to ensure optimal results and maintain food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following proper sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen team to manage food production and inventory effectively.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients when possible.
