Marketing Assistant

You're in luck Discount Pram Centre is looking for a talented and motivated **Marketing Assistant**, with prospect of **promotion to Marketing Manager** after 6 month probation during which we'll evaluate your skills and performance. This is a full-time position, 37.5hrs per week, on-site in our Head Office in Nelson (Monday to Friday, 9:30AM - 5:00PM) **JOB REQUIREMENTS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **At Discount Pram Centre, we believe practical skills can outweigh formal education.** You **don't **need a formal education in Marketing, but we expect knowledge and practical experience in this area. If you succeed in the interview, you will be responsible for executing agreed advertising strategies and planned multi-channel campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Radio, SMS and E-Mail. You will also be responsible for producing high quality audio, video and image advertising assets and actively engaging in competitor and keyword research. This would include working under guidance of our current Marketing Manager who will provide you with outline of objectives and methods to achieve them, but you will need to be able to effectively manage your time and evaluate priority of your pending tasks. Other responsibilities include daily activity on TikTok, Reels and Shorts - including recording videos in line with current trends, researching virality and posting daily videos promoting products and/or growing reach and followers. This would also involve livestreaming on Facebook/Instagram/TikTok and promoting products live. You will also be expected to maintain our website, and update it with new products and bundles using provided and new imagery and copy. **Specific skills required**: - Marketing 101 - conversions, tracking, remarketing, keywords, multichannel campaigns; - Search engine optimisation; - Copywriting and visual design with good sense of modern standards; - Ability to "look through your audience's eyes" and be self-critical about your work; - Understanding of TikTok/Reels/Shorts algorithms and how trends work; - Hands-on experience with cameras, lenses, tripods, gimbals etc.; - Good idea of brand relatability and brand personal representation; - Understanding of what can be learned from data and how to use it effectively; - Budget management and analysis; - Advertiser account management (Meta, Google, TikTok); - Ability to write constructive and informative monthly reports; - Willingness to make an occasional coffee round ;) **Knowledge of specific software required**: - Google, incl. Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive _(alternatively MS Office)_ - Adobe, incl. Illustrator, Express, Premiere Pro/Rush, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition; - Mailchimp - All Social Media apps, incl.
