Climate17 is working with a world-leading renewable energy company that is an established asset manager and O&M provider, supporting over 10GW of renewable generation and energy storage projects for clients across the globe.

They are currently seeking to hire a Grid Ancillary Services Lead to join their Asset Management team and help their clients develop grid services on their operational portfolio.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop/standardise the various Grid services that the business can offer concerning operational assets managed by the Asset Management Team.
- Promote Grid services to clients and ensure the company is maximising potential revenues from these workstreams, with a focus on key accounts.
- Act as the focal point between the delivery teams, wider group functions and clients.
- Support and influence the strategies of the business unit and work with heads of business areas to develop new Grid related services that can be delivered to main clients.
- Ensure regular communication with target clients and provide feedback to the business units to refine the product offering.
- Monitor any changes to Grid regulation, policies and ancillary services. i.e., grid charging, NGESO pathfinder tenders, NGESO ancillary service procurement, DS3 services, DSO services.
- Provide a Monthly Grid Strategy report to Asset Management Team.
- Understand client needs, communicating client goals to internal/external stakeholders.
- Be the first point of call for technical grid connection agreements or grid compliance queries.
- Ensure all Grid related activity is linked back to the client-specific Value Enhancement Plans.
- Sound commercial awareness of existing Asset Management Agreements and identify which elements of the Grid services are in or out of scope.
- Identify additional Grid Services which could be delivered as Chargeable Services.

**Requirements**:

- Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering or relevant Business / Commercial discipline (preferred).
- Knowledge of wind turbine, BESS and solar technology, health and safety management systems, quality and environmental management systems and work control procedures.
- Electrical Safety rules in the context of Renewable Energy Infrastructure.
- HV Electrical Equipment and Industry Standards.
- Grid-related regulations, policies and industry consultations for distribution, transmission or ICP-connected renewable generation.
- CDM Regulations.
- Project Management in an engineering environment - manage budgets and project costs.
- Contract specification review and preparation.
