Location: Portsmouth

**Salary**: £35,000 - £37,000 (DOE)

Hours of work: 37.5 Hours per week

My client, one the UK's largest Legal Service Businesses is looking to employ an experienced, energetic and motivated HR Advisor to join their team in the South West.

Your responsibilities for this role as an HR Advisor / HR Generalist would be:

- Work in close partnership with the HR Manager and wider team to assist in the preparation and implementation of HR Strategy.
- Be a proactive regional HR contact, making sure the objectives and priorities of the HR strategy are actioned.
- Act as an advisor regionally, and across the business, providing guidance and support on HR policy and procedures.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with fee-earning and operational teams, being their preferred contact for HR related issues.
- Ensure employee relations are managed appropriately by supporting the HR Manager and colleagues to manage day to day HR issues to successful outcomes.
- Assist the HR management team in the development, monitoring and continual improvement of HR systems, procedures and policies.
- Review and monitor all regional employee records to include maternity, paternity, absence and sickness and agree 'next steps' where concerns/issues are identified to ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Be a 'culture carrier' for the business, promoting the company values and encouraging the engagement of others with the culture to create a positive working environment.
- Undertake project work, such as acquisitions, as required by the HR Management Team.

The skills YOU would require to be the best in this role would be:

- 3 -4 years experience within a fast-moving HR Team - essential
- CIPD qualification level 3/5 - essential
- Proven HR generalist experience at an operational level
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to question, confidently challenge, and influence to achieve best results
- People orientated with the ability to build and effectively manage relationships at all levels

This role does require flexibility and willingness to travel between office locations as and when required.
