We are currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Pot Wash/Cleaner to join our team at a bustling café bar. As a Pot Wash/Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to sanitation standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Dishwashing: Wash, sanitize, and store all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans used in the kitchen. Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and maintain proper water temperature and detergent levels. Ensure clean and organized dish storage.
- Kitchen Cleaning: Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, workstations, and equipment such as grills, ovens, and fryers. Remove grease, stains, and food residue to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Utensil and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all utensils, equipment, and small appliances are clean, in working order, and properly stored. Report any damaged or malfunctioning items to the appropriate supervisor.
- Trash and Recycling Management: Collect, separate, and properly dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials. Regularly empty and sanitize trash bins and ensure compliance with waste disposal regulations.
- Stocking and Inventory: Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries of kitchen supplies, including food ingredients, cleaning agents, and paper products. Maintain an inventory of supplies, alerting the management when items need to be replenished.
- Kitchen Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and well-maintained. Ensure proper labeling and storage of food items, utensils, and cleaning supplies. Assist in maintaining inventory control and rotation to minimize waste.
- Compliance with Health and Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Adhere to sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Assist the kitchen team as needed, supporting them in food preparation, plating, and other tasks during busy periods. Foster effective communication and teamwork to ensure smooth operations.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Pot Wash or Cleaner in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and cleaning practices.
- Ability to operate dishwashing equipment effectively and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the café bar.

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
