Dispensary Assistant

We are looking for a friendly assistant to join our busy dispensary team at Sleaford Medical Group. Is this the right role for you? Job summary - Issuing stock items and prepared prescriptions - Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements - Cash handling and banking - Ensuring that drugs are received and stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions - Ensuring that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and maintaining the temperature control record/logbook - Cleaning work surfaces and shelving on a regular basis and ensuring that all dispensary equipment is kept clean and in good working order. - Maintaining full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions. - Daily preparation for dispatch of local area prescriptions for delivery. - Correct disposal of obsolete or surplus drugs and medicines. - Provide administrative support to all members of the Practice team. **Experience**: - Strong attention to detail and accuracy as you will be handling medications - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment - Ability to work effectively as part of a small team This Assistant role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare industry.
